Dr. Lindy West grew up in Menoken, ND and spent her undergraduate years at North Dakota State University before graduating from Kansas State University with her DVM in 2012. After this, she worked in Chariton, IA at a mixed animal practice. She and her husband, Steven, moved back to his hometown of Hettinger in late 2013, where he could pursue farming and ranching and she partnered at the West River Vet Clinic. She founded Cedar Creek Equine Performance in January of 2019 as a way to further serve her equine clients and focus on the health and wellness of all equines, not just those that are able to haul in to a facility.

Lindy and Steven have two little girls (Hatti & Jolie), a blue/red heeler (Gus), horses, and a commercial herd of cattle. Dr. West’s special interests are large animal medicine and surgery, particularly equine lameness, dentistry, acupuncture, and wellness. When not working, she enjoys team roping, playing with Hatti and Jolie, and helping where she can on the farm. She is a member of the AVMA, NDVMA, SDVMA, American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), and is a State Liaison for the AAEP.
